WELCOME TO SACRED HEART!

WE ARE RESUMING IN PERSON SUNDAY MASS

GREAT NEWS!

Our phase 2 reopening plan has been approved by the Archdiocese of Chicago. We will resume our regular schedule of Masses. 4:30 PM on Saturday, 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM in English and 11:00 AM in Croatian on Sunday. There will be no music at the Saturday Mass. One English Mass at 9:30 AM and one Croatian Mass at 11:00 AM will continue to be streamed on our YouTube Channel for the next few weeks. Please subscribe to our YouTube Channel to receive notifications or go the parish website to get a link to our channel at the designated time. Please adhere to the changes we are required to keep as mandated by the Archdiocese of Chicago.
*You will need to register in order to attend Mass. Click the online registration link or call the Rectory to make a reservation. 773-768-1423 We currently have a limit of 50 people per Mass.

*As required by The State of Illinois and the Archdiocese, everyone is required to wear a face covering to church. You must provide your own face covering.
*Enter the church through the main doors on 96th Street.
*Exit the church through the side doors into the parking lot or Escanaba Ave.
*You will be greeted by a person and given a dose of hand sanitizer and someone will show you to your seat.
*Do not gather in groups outside or inside the church before or after Mass. When you arrive please take your seat in the church. A team member will be there to assist you to your seat. Please do not change seats. We are mandated to keep a record of who was in the church and where they were sitting.
*The church will need to be cleaned in between each Mass. Please exit the church as soon as Mass is over as to give the cleaning crew access and ample time to get ready for the next Mass
* There will be no books in any of the pews. If you wish you can print the mass readings at home or follow them on your electronic device.
* Do not leave anything in the church. We are mandated to dispose of anything left in the church before the next mass. Please take home any materials that were given to you or any materials that you brought with you or toss them in the trash on your way out. They cannot be reused.
*Maintain 6 feet between you and anyone else. There are tape marks on the floor to help maintain separation while in line for Communion. Receive communion only in the hand.
Thank you for helping us follow the protocols put in place as mandated by the diocese in order for us to open safely.
Please share this with everyone in the parish, or copy and paste and send a message to a fellow parishioner, or call anyone who many not have electronic media access.
See you this weekend

PRAYER OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

Holy Communion(Prayer for those viewing Mass over electronic media and are not able to receive Communion)

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen

YOU CAN NOW TEXT TO DONATE

textingClick here for a link that explains how it works

Financially we have been hit hard due to this COVID-19 pandemic since we depend upon your weekly donation and there are no public weekly masses. We ask that you please continue to support Sacred Heart in any way that you can. It might be more convenient to do it electronically. You can set it up to make automatic withdrawals and it will make your contribution to our parish on a regular basis or you can make a one time contribution. This allows your continued support to the parish during the unforeseen circumstances such as the one we have now. You can still donate via computer or tablet as well.

TAX CREDIT & MATCHING GIFT PROGRAM

TaxesThe State of Illinois created a tax credit scholarship program through the “Invest in Kids” Act that is mutually beneficial to students and donors. It provides a 75 percent Illinois State income tax credit to individuals who contribute money to fund scholarships for students to attend private schools. Eligible students from low-income families in Illinois may use these scholarships to attend a non-public school of their choice, including Sacred Heart School. For every dollar donated to this program through Empower Illinois between Dec. 1, 2019 and Feb. 29, 2020 and designated to a school operated by the Archdiocese of Chicago will be matched with two dollars from a matching pool....Click here for more information
